i fixed it...not sure what exactly is the fix but...

i fixed it...not sure what exactly is the fix but here is what i did in case anyone else is having the same issue

1 renamed all buddy list groups to not use "@" or " "(space)
2 i could not rename...

I installed the latest OS from verizon and now i cannot get aim to work. Everything else works great but when i try to log into aim i get:

i would wait for the official verizon release. i installed 85 and it seemed like a good build but i get lockups every now and then. its not stable to run, stick to 75 for now.

you can't, verizon counts aim messages as text messages. if you are planning on using aim or any other chat client i would upgrade to unlimited text messaging plan.

1XEV is 3G, i find the BB browser to be a little slow especially with javascript enabled. you can try turning off javascript and see if that speeds things up a bit. although alot of sites require it...

its not working right now for google maps when using verizon. Somehow the gps signal is not getting to the google maps app. If you unlock and use ATT or TMobile the gps miraculously works.

yeah i think that is likely the cause, i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the aim client with no difference in outcome. will just wait and see if it resolves itself.

yeah i tried logging on and off, turning the storm on and off as well as removing the battery. all with the same results, i can sign into aim but everyone appears offline to me.
