I guess that's what's wrong with mine, too... I have the exact same problem. How could they "forget" to install the 2nd ring on so many phones? Unbelievable. :x

the base the ball sits in is loose, it wobbles...

the base the ball sits in is loose, it wobbles back and forth when I use the trackball. Every other Pearl I have seen has had a solid base. It's kind of annoying, I guess I'll have to get used to...
