I love how pinstack thinks this is their proprietary information needing a watermark to protect it. Or could it be a gloating "we found it first." :/ Either way, thanks Datnggag for the info!

my spelling is only putrid.

8320 no built in GPS? What does that mean exactly? It's available but you will need to download the software after purchase? Or is GPS not available on the 8320?

I'm kind of a GPS noobie, so speak to me like I'm 4 plz. ;)

Helmdawg 09-17-2007 06:58 PM

Glad to see the sliver/titanium version in the pictures.

GPS is not built-in to the 8320. If you want to use GPS, you will need to purchase a bluetooth GPS puck.

They did it so nobody such as another blog or site like da boy genius could take credit for it. smart move

The pictures aren't to scale. The 8800 is not smaller than the Curve.

Also discourages other blogs / forums from hot-linking the image, a practice that tends to use up site resources for the targeted site, without actually getting them any additional usable traffic. I can understand the motivation to do this.

Thanks for the information! :)

But from what I see, it looks like I won't be able to take advantage of the HotSpots unless I pay for it. :(

If you want unlimited minutes... Yes, pay for H@H... but you can still connect to your home router and do UMA/GAN for calling... I'm doing it. It just eats my minutes like normal.

What does UMA/GAN mean? Does it mean that BB Curve will use my wi-fi signal and eat minutes even if I don't subscribe for HomeSpot service? In that case, will it improve calling quality if my apartment's T-Mobile signal is weak?

Yes, UMA/GAN will use your wireless router (wi-fi) when you are in range and connected to it for voice and data from your Curve...

If you subscribe to H@H, calls made over UMA connection will not deduct from your voice plan's "anytime minutes." (i.e. UMA calling is "Unlimited" if you subscribe to H@H).

Jagga 09-18-2007 08:03 AM

OOOOO! I can't WAIT!

Mark_Venture 09-18-2007 10:21 AM

My T-Mobile rep just sent our corporate pricing over for the Curve...

It is inline with current models.

DanXP 09-18-2007 10:25 AM

ok... what are the current models' prices?
