BES / Handheld management discussion

I would like to know what other folks are doing in there corporate environment to manage blackberry accounts and devices. We currently have around 700 devices with 5 BES servers. Is there a application that will take info from all 5 BES's and merge account, user, carrier, pin, and IMEI numbers to one database?

You need to migrate all of your individual BES MSDE database's over to a single database shared between all 5 BES servers. Once all servers share a single database, you can then manage all of them from a single Managment Console ... MSDE only support up to 5 concurrent connections so you will probably want to go with a SQL database.

Go with SQL for one database and then when you get 4.0, it comes with tool called Handheld Managment. You'll want to be on SQL anyway for 4.0 so if you migrate that direction, you are ready for 4.0 upgrade when it comes out. That tool gives you all that information and more on all your devices. It will tell you, carrier, applications installed, battery life, phone number, pin IMEI, IDEN, and a bunch of other stuff.
