Call Forwarding - Conditional

When I place a call I get a message saying "Call Forwarding - Conditional".
I'm not forwarding any call. Why I'm getting that message??? That message appears for a couple of seconds and then I get connected ok with the person I'm calling.
Any clue?

I would try going to a certified Cingular store and see if there may be an account thing…I know that the BB has its own data services and maybe you need a code in your account for it not to do that. I would also see if one of them knows there way around the BB and check some things in your phone (like the host routing table). The crappy thing is there is a lot of network settings in the BB so having one thing off could cause something like this or completely throw off your phone.

That sounds like a service order code issue with your account, or something very wrong with your sim on the switch.

Yet first checking all call forwarding like your dialing a phone call...

That message is normal, and means that if you don't answer the phone, it will go to voicemail. Nothing to be alarmed about, it is supposed to be there. Ignore it.

So is it not normal not to get it?

Should not be normal when making an Outbound call!

Unless this is something your particular network does then I suggest calling your support of your network. Only Unbound calls should show that message according to your statement. Here in Canada this only occurs on unbound calls.

yeah i get it whenever i make a call to voicemail. have had it for 2 years, no problems. I dont get it though for normal calls, but it not a problem.

JSanders 04-23-2007 10:55 AM

It is normal either way. I get that message on some and don't on others.

Search the board here and you will see other comments on same issue.

I'm getting that message when I place a call. Not when someone is calling me.

SO everyone that responded, is in the USA on Cingular I take it, so it IS NORMAL. but for me in Canada I don't get this setting at all, strange as it seems to be provider setup.

No, I am TMo.

John Clark 04-24-2007 12:35 AM

I am on TMo. I usually only get it when I'm roaming on another carrier. With all the changes in Cingular's system it wouldn't surprise me if you guys see it more often. It's perfectly normal. Forget about it....

Stern 04-24-2007 04:23 AM

this all depends on your network and the way it deals with forwarding calls and voicemail.

It's normal on Vodafone UK

NCBuckeye 04-24-2007 09:45 AM

With BB going down the other day we should just be happy to be able to make calls.
