Can this be done with one BES?

Yes, but you have to be careful about where the Exchange servers are located with respect to the BES. The MAPI connection between BES and Exchange is very chatty, and you may generate a lot of WAN traffic if you have remote Exchange servers.

In any event, a BES can handle multiple Exchange servers. Just make sure that the BES Service Account has read/write access to the mailboxes on all of the Exchange servers.

The servers are on the same local network, but different domains and IP segments.

The BES and Exchange need to be on the same Windows domain.

I think BES 4.0 can only connect to up to 10 Exchange servers simultaneously.
