MSN Messenger for BlackBerry?

Yes I know theres VeriChat, WebMessenger, etc however

Jim Balsillie, Chairman & Co-CEO of RIM states to be working with MSN and Hotmail, I wonder what that could mean? Maybe a Microsoft designed MSN Messenger BlackBerry?

From what I understand, there is soon to be a BB OS with built-in support for some messsenger services.

I like VeriChat... Hope the competition brings the price down... Or works as well.

I am totally stoked about this.

Verichat is the best one out there now. It's kind of pricey but worth every strokes on the pad and more!

BBmessenger is a pin to pin app between blackberries only if you are looking for an aol aim related app use rambler, this is the link for bbmessenger:http://dangeros.is-a-geek.org/bbota/bbm.jad

and this is the link for ramble:http://wireless.sra.com/ramble/download.html

you can download both of these apps OTA. If you want more info you can do some searches here.

On Nextel you can already go into MSN Messenger. Just go to the nextel wireless web, select portals and MSN and then MSN Messenger.

I couldn't get it to load the app on my 7100, ahh well, it's not like MSN's all that!!!

Dawg 10-05-2005 05:27 AM

stone that way sucks though it takes forever to refresh and sometimes kicks you out all those portal messenger suck. A third party app is the only way to go

Yeah, I logged into it but I never tried sending messages from it.

I was under the impression (from RIM) that there were strained relations between RIM and Microsoft, thus this was put on hold, to an extent. There is the LCS/Windows Messenger for internal use coming out with BES 4.1, which I'm sure could easily be ported since they use some of the same basic protocols. I'm still curious if that client will support public IM cloud federation, if the LCS/OC server is federated. That'd be really nice.
