How to use Wi-Fi but not 2G/3G??

Hi, How can I configure my BlackBerry to use the Wi-Fi (when possible) but don't use the mobile network because I don't have a contract for internet. So if I just walked out on the street, I would have no wi-fi because I wouldn't be connected to my house, it would usually automatically connect to mobile network (2G/3G) but I don't want it to do that, I don't want it to use data when I'm not using Wi-Fi at home. However I wan't it to connect to Wi-Fi when I'm at home. Is there some kind of settings? Thanks!!!!

Generally if you do not have a Blackberry Data plan you cannot use WiFI. The service books sent by the carrier control the internet options.
If you do have a plan you can go to manage networks and turn off cell service but it should use the WiFI if available and you have it configured

So I have to keep on doing Data Services off and on UNTIL I actually get the data plan? Isn't there a third-party program of some sort?

based on your posts i'm not clear if you do have a BB Data plan. Are you able to get to the internet? if so you have one. If not you have standard cell phone service and internet access is not part of the the ability when connected to a Blackberry. So if you do have one, read this and configure your home router and when you are at home it should work. when you leave it will drop.

ok then if you do not have a data plan and it does work your ahead of the game. Generally it does not work with most providers. With yours it must.

the only thing you can do is go to manage connections and turn off mobile network. then all you will have is WiFi. this of course stops calls also
