MSN for Blackberry

Hi, I keep going way over my bill on my blackberry contract.
I regularly use the MSN Messenger for blackberry, and I'm trying to work out if this is a reason why.
Is MSN free to use or is it classed as internet browsing and downloads?
Thanks for the help. (:

If the server is down and internet is not working, can you use MSN?

If my WiFi is switched off as it usually is, then my MSN will still work, as will my Ubertwitter and Facebook applications. :)

I'm a 16 yr old girl.. ha. (:
That connection is just from my settings on my blackberry. I never usually have my WiFi on as it affects the battery life. But on my latest bill it says that the reason I've gone over is due to internet browsing and downloads.. and I'm not sure if MSN counts as that.

KUMITE - Do you actually read the threads before posting? Oh, I forgot your history.

Read the first thread.

Does MSN count as data? YES
Is this why the OP (original poster) goes over? YES

The connection comes via the carrier plan (O2).

STOP POSTING.

MSN is data.
Pretty much everything except SMS is data.

Sometimes you come as thick, NJ.

She knows that your comments were solely directed to me; she's just thanking you for answering her queries.

114 posts and zero useful.
But at least you found Profiles.
That's real progress.

Didn't you complain in another thread that you were leaving? Pinstack.com is looking for people like you. Morons.

Even SMS can be data (not directly but indirectly in some services such as Google Voice).

I don't have a SMS plan (incoming and outgoing pay per use) and since I have more than enough data in my BIS plan, I almost always use Google Voice for my SMS which saves me on the outgoing SMS charge and the possible incoming SMS charge (if the person replies).

As you've mentioned pretty much everything is used from your data bank/plan except for voice calls (not VoIP), SMS and MMS.

If you're going over your data allotment in your plan, you should probably turn on the Wi-Fi.

Even with Wi-Fi activated, unless you're doing a lot of streaming, you should be able to get over 2 days Blackberry.

With Wi-Fi activated, it will reduce the amount of data that you're using from your plan (which includes MSN IM chatting, e-mailing, stock updates, weather updates, sports updates, news updates, etc.)
