FLV Player?
 

Does anyone know if there is an FLV player for the Storm? I am trying to download a video from youtube and I am being advised that I need a FLV player. I downloaded it to my computer and the video works fine, but only on THAT player.
Could I just download the player to the blackberry? Would it hurt my bb if it is not compatible?

What is FLV Player anyway?

There is a free program called youtube downloader. Use that to download videos to your computer and then use that program to open and convert the video file. Change it to Windows Media Video or something and I don't see why it wouldn't work. Probably gonna end up with a little large of a file though.

Thanks, but I do have the youtube downloader, and when I try to convert the file it tells me I am missing some "codecs" or something similar. When I download the file without converting it the name ends in .flv, which is a file type, that can only be used with the FLV player/converter.

So , If I download an app/software that is not compatible with my bb what will happen?

No I think you just need to open the .flv file with the program after you download it. Then you'll have the option to convert it. You can't download it and directly convert it. The program is a little funny.
