Is your device still connected to a corporate BES system? Or did you buy the device used and it's been like that ever since you got it?

If it's your personal device and not connected to a corporate BES system then you can remove the IT policy on it. I recommend upgrading to OS 4.5 and then using Method 1 of this post:

Is there a small red lock next to it?

Are you on a BES? If you are on a corporate BES you have an IT policy preventing you from removing the password

Where did you get this BlackBerry? Is it connected to a company BlackBerry server?

Thank you,but i have one question,it's an unlocked BB so will my BB still be unlocked if i upgrade the software? Thanks for your answers!

John Clark 09-04-2008 08:03 PM

Yes, once it's unlocked it will always be unlocked. You can never lock it again, even if you wanted to.

Ok good to know that.Thank you very much.

Hello since i'm back from holidays now I can do that but i still have one question, will that upgrade lead to the lost of all my phone numbers?

GaelL 09-13-2008 06:45 PM
