507 error

So I have a 8130 and was doing just a weekly battery pull. When i put the battery back in and it began to restart, it came up with a error 507. What would I need to do to get it working again?

Thanks.

Looks like you will need to reload the operating system on the device. Check out BlackBerryFAQ.com for the steps on how to do that.

Wow...just happened out of the blue like that? Yes, 507 means you need to reload the OS. Any data saved on the device is gone so I hope you had a backup. Check the stickies at the top of this forum for the latest OS for the 8130.

Yes it sounds like something rather grim occurred and your BB OS deleted itself. Reload the OS through DTM and you should be fine. If you have backed up your data you can restore it after the OS reinstall.

would it delete things that are on the micro card?

and to answer John:

Yeah it just happened out of the blue. I had done a battery pull every week since I have gotten it religiously and this last time it came up with the 507. Didn't do anything different. Guess it doesnt like me.

so when i am trying to put the OS on it through my desktop it asks for a password for my device when I have not ever set one. Is there a default password or something? How would I go about finding the pw?

just click on ok button no need to give the password

Reload OS!The ONLY thing that you can do!
Don't worryxxx65281;Why not remove your micro card before operating?
