Emails won't send

I have an 8830 from Verizon. I recently sent for a replacement device from Asurion because I dropped mine. I received the device the other night and reloaded all of the programs, etc. Everything looked like it was operating fine.

I tried to reply to an email for the first time on Friday and I had no "send" option, just "save as draft". No matter what I tried to do, I wouldn't get a "send" option. I tried rebooting, battery pull, everything I could think of, but no "send" option. I wound up copying my reply into a new email and sending it that way.

Tried to reply to another email this afternoon, same thing.

It gets better...

Seems like the emails that I've sent the last 2 days have never made it to the recipients.

I figure I'm just missing something in some option menu or something, but I don't know what I'm missing.

Ideas?

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

I think you need to register the device. Have you resent the service books?

Well, see, Asurion didn't tell me to do THAT...

Just waiting for the email to hit my BB. Hope it works.

...you need to register the new bb w/ the carrier.

Just registered with the BIS website and sent the service books. I was able to reply to one of the old emails...won't know until the morning if it was received.

Thanks for the help.

And I swear, I'm wrapping this BB in bubble wrap so it doesn't get damaged again!

By "registering" they mean you need to input the new pin/esn number into the BIS system. You can do this on the Verizon BIS site or you can use the "setup internet email" icon on the BB. It will likely recognize that you are using a new pin and ask if you want to change it.

...^ what he said.

Reply that I sent last night was received by recipient. Looks like I'm up and running again. Thanks all for your help.
