What's the most recent Desktop Manager Version that supports OS rollback?
Simple, easy question: What's the most recent Desktop Manager Version that had built-in support for rolling back your OS (i.e. it detects all OS versions installed on your system & lets you pick the one you want, even if it's a downgrade) and where can I download the install files?
I just found out the hard way that DM 6.1 does NOT seem to give you that option, so I had to reinstall an old Version 5.0 build that's like a year and a half old... which I'm happy to keep using, if that's what I have to do. But is there a newer version of DM that still has that functionality? Any help here would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. :) |

As far as I know Desktop Manager isn't even a requirement for upgrades or downgrades. Every OS package comes with "loader.exe".

Re: What's the most recent Desktop Manager Version that supports OS rollback?
I haven't used Desktop Manager to upgrade or downgrade an OS in years.
As stated many times, use Loader.exe... And so it works nicely with your second (annoying) post... As stated many times, use Loader.exe... As stated many times, use Loader.exe... As stated many times, use Loader.exe... As stated many times, use Loader.exe... |
Re: What's the most recent Desktop Manager Version that supports OS rollback?
And you both seem to have missed the point... Loader.exe ONLY loads THE MOST RECENT OS installed on your PC. I had forgotten I still had 6.0 installed on there... I do not want 6.0... on the 9700, it is to be avoided like the PLAGUE! (n)
Again, just please answer the question asked... as that's what I need to know.... what's the most recent version of Desktop Manager that had that functionality built in? On 5.0.something, which I still had the install files for, it shows a list of ALL OS versions installed on my computer, allowing me to EASILY and WITHOUT FAIL select the exact one I want to install! THAT'S what I need, not the GUESSWORK involved with Loader.exe. Thanks in advance. |
