Desktop won't recognize BB
BB 9700, BES
The device works fine with the DM at home, incl. sync.
Lastest DM, uninstalled, re-installed many times.
Plug in the device, USB mass storage works (has SD card). But DM won't recognize the device. Sometimes it will complain it can't connect to the device; sometimes it hangs; most of time just silent.
Plug in colleague's device: get prompt for password
DM works fine in terms of changing setting such as filter.
How do I troubleshoot?
Since the BlackBerry works in other computers then it can't be the device, it sounds like something local.
Have you tried, different USB cables/Ports.
Also might want to check what other applications are running on the computer maybe something is interfering.
Also might want to include some more information, such what version of the BlackBerry Desktop Manager you are using, what os is running on the computer in question.

Are you saying that it works fine on your home PC but not your work PC?
