Sprint- Should i jump on the 9650 or wait?

Hey guys, im an android user but am getting sick of the lagging and fore closes so have decided to move to blackberry. The 9650 is the best one Sprint carries and I was wondering if i should jump on it, or is something better going to be here in the NEAR future for sprint.

Thanks all!

Your call on that one. The 9650 is a pretty good device, but there will always be something new and or better on the horizon.

Guess it depends on how bad you need a new phone and how long you are prepared to wait if you don't jump now.

I normally advocate just buying now, but in this case there are some new models due out very soon, like the Bold Touch 9930, that promise to be pretty spiffy. Most of the new models look like they're bound for either AT&T or Verizon, but we Sprint users should net at least one of them. Probably that Bold Touch that has me all hot and bothered. ::D:

Is there a projected month when we will have access to these?

All rumors and innuendo so far, but Q2 looks like the time frame so that would be in the next two months.

Ahhh! Gosh.. Now i dont know what to do, i was supposed to pick up the 9650 tomorrow. Im so sick of this android. Other than the touchscreen do you think there will be any MAJOR pros to the new touch bold?

it will be a bit bigger than the 9650, faster CPU, liquid graphics powered by open gl, more memory, better screen, bigger keyboard, and some more.

I'm due for an upgrade and have been holding out for the 9930 myself...bu those damned vague rumours about the Torch 2 being released in a CDMA version are messing with my head. I wish I knew for certain if it was a pipe dream or not....

There is no downside to owning the 9650 right now. And now you can sit back and wait to see how the early adopters do with the Bold Touch during it's "shakeout cruise".

Bold Touch is said to be out in August.

Edit: What the heck?!!

http://newstonight.net/content/black...0-touch-device

If they are right we are doomed. I though that the 9900 would possibly be the first of the new devices to be out and if my thoughts are true my Torch 2 possibly will be out by next xmas... :(

EDIT 2: The good news is -> Lets hope that article refer to India only...
