Interception of password before unlocking ?

I have wondered to post this question here or in developers forum, but in final it seems it's more an internal security than a development problem :)

How difficult can it be to intercept unlock password ?

We are looking for a way to automatically wipe a device when a specific password is entered to unlock. Same kind of thing as "duress password", but instantly wiping the device instead of sending an email.

Developing the application for the device should not be very tough, however we wonder if there are possibilities to sufficiently integrate this application into the device software to be able to manage what has been entered when password is locked.
We are afraid that this solution has to be intimely connected to BB core and therefore we are wondering if RIM has released sufficient information to implement this kind of thing.

Any help, remarks, advices or comments are welcome :)

Thanks
