Telus BIS

Hello I had an account with Telus in 2007-2008 using my blackberry and had BIS email setup with them. When I try to log into the BIS website it says my account has been closed, but it is aware of the actual "username". So does that mean any server-side email has been deleted? Can I safely assume this? Thank you very much.

Re: Telus BIS

icewolf, welcome to the forums. I noticed you haven't recieved any responses yet, and I'm sure I don't have a definitive answer to your question as I'm not with Telus.

There are several very knowledgeable forum members from all over the world on this site, and perhaps one of them may have a connection to Telus and have a better answer for you.

In the meantime if I were you I would contact Telus with your question, and they should certainly be able to tell you the status of your past/closed accounts, and I would think they should at least be able to explain why your closed account username is still recognized online.

If you get an answer to your question it's always nice to post back and let everyone know what it is as allot of people read these forums, and it's nice when you can see a post that answers the original question. It helps members who have similar questions, and find this thread in a latter search.

Good luck and enjoy everything you'll find you can learn here.

Re: Telus BIS

The user name might be stored on the PC, and not within BIS. Email doesn't reside in BIS or with RIM, it is all on your email account servers. BIS is just the way the email is pulled from your accounts to RIM and then pushed to the BB.

I would assume if it says the account is closed, then it is closed. As said above, a call to the carrier would confirm it.
