8900 messages in inbox
 

Hi,

We have a user with a Blackberry 8900 using folder redirection and we have a bes server.
The issue we have is that when the user recieves an email that would normally go into a folder in Outlook it appears in both the messages default veiw and after going into 'View Folder' it also appears in there. Once read it will no longer show in messages on in the correct folder.
I have set the option to hide filed messages which only works to a degree - it has to be read/opened first.

Is there a way of setting the default view of messages to the Inbox folder rather than messages ?

You cannot change the default view to "Inbox" or any other folder. The default view will always be all messages. You can tweak this by hiding sent messages and filed messages, but as long as the messages are un-read they will appear anyway.

A solution for you could be: Create a Saved Search with "Inbox" as search criteria and assign it a key. When you are in your messages, you can easily get to your Inbox by hitting ALT + key. See details on:

Ok thanks for the info. Is the BB working correctly then in that all message regardless of folder goes into Messages untill read then it files them ?
