Blackberry Maps Not Functioning

Well this is a first. I haven't used BB Maps in awhile but needed to today. There is absolutely no map data at all. Just one big grey screen with a red X in the upper left corner. I zoom in and out and see nothing. I then tried to have it look up (or map) an address from my contacts and it puts the red peg on a blank screen. Again I zoomed in and out and nothing (and yes I have a data plan.) So, is this a RIM issue perhaps? Used to work great. Google Maps is still working (although badly on this device since they haven't figured out the small font issue but that's another story.)

Just curious to see if anyone else has had a problem with this lately. I even tried location services on and off. Strange....

UPDATE

Miraculously, the maps started working again after about an hour's time. Again, a RIM issue?

Again, no.
One person having an issue is not a RIM issue.

So? Do you have any clue what it could be then?

Seems to be OK today. Can't figure out why this happened yesterday. All the other apps that require data (like Google Maps for example) were working so that's what pointed me to thinking RIM for a second since I know it d/l's the maps and the carrier wasn't the issue either. A battery pull didn't fix it but came back on it's own after about an hour of this. I was hoping that someone else may have run into this issue before but apparently not. Buggy OS perhaps? Who knows!:?
