(sprint) 8830 and 4.5 OS issue
 

Hello every one. Im just wondering if any one else has had this issue with the new 4.5 OS for the BB 8830. Ever since installing the new OS my ringtons have sounded very strange. They sound all tinny and have all the volume and bass as been turned down. Even though I can put the volume all the way up. Also on the 4.2 OS Alarm_Antelope was 14 seconds now its only 2 seconds. Another stange thing is that I also messed with some of the ringtons that I added myself but not all of them. All of them are mp3 files that I made myself so I dont know why it would affect those. I reinstalled 4.5 to see if there was an error but it didnt fix anything. I guess I'm trying to say is the ring tones sound like they are from the Curve with that tinny high trebble sound. Does anyone know of a way to keep my old ringtons that were preprogrammed from 4.2 to be on 4.5? Well thanks for the help guys. I hope some one knows how to fix this.

Interesting... I remember the 8830 had a low volume issue my 8330 volume was always louder then 8830 (plus the 8330 has an better speaker I do believe).

One thing I can recommend is wiping your device in JL_CMDer and then re-installing the OS.. Those instructions are foudn int he FAQ part of the site.
