There are no release notes for this.
I have downloaded it and installed it successfully.

i have downloaded but ran into an issue. i deleted both vendor files and my pc wont connect to my device. i even went as far as uninstalling DM 4.6 and installing the newest version on DM. i never ran into this issue before and my bb has been sitting on the error 507 for a couple hours now. is there a way to force load the os the bb or a way to get the device to recognized ?

I don't believe you can even use DM 4.6 to install this OS. I believe the only OS that is certified for OS7 is DM6. How did you get to that error? Deleting vendor.xml has nothing to do with the device.

go to any of the device model sections in this forum and read the "Latest OS" threads, and use the same directions listed, using the loader.exe file.

You can also use Beta DM 7.0.0.0 or 7.0.0.20. I had no connection issues with version .20

On my 3rd day now with this build.

1st - I always do a full wipe and restore on OS upgrades. Just an FYI.

OS is snappier, browser seems a bit faster as well, but most of all, battery life has improved somewhat. I don't use redundant apps like Meterberry to tell me that, I just know it runs longer now between charges. I'd say I'm seeing a good 10%+ increase in battery life, maybe more.

Mobile and WiFi Radio's seem to be exactly the same signal strength as prior releases - poor in comparison to my 9780. I doubt that will improve as I have always been under the impression that this was hardware related, not software.

Hey, just noticed this on .440. I can't seem to add another e-mail account to my 9900. I have 6 set up, and when I go into the usual spot, it just wants me to Activate. If I want to add an e-mail account on my berry I have to use my carrier's web portal.

EDIT: Never noticed this as this is the first time I am trying to add an e-mail account to my berry on OS 7, so not sure if this is how it works now, or am I missing something.

Yes, it is pretty sad when I have better WiFi reception/range with an 8520.

Re: Leaked OS 7.0.0.440 for the 9900

I did post somewhere around here what I'd found when I tested the 9900 reception on WiFi and Mobile, with and without a case, but in a nutshell, using my case gave me between -6 and -8db better gain on both radios than without (assuming the BB is in your hand). That's not a ton of gain - but enough in many cases to enhance reception to a point where you'd say reception is fine.
