I believe its decision to exit the smartphone market and focus on software and services related to mobility products has started to bearing fruits.

The stock at its high was about $148.00 per share. Today $10.47.
The market is neutral on the stock.
In February 2014, TCL spent 280 million RMB to purchase 11% shareholdings of Tianjin 712 Communication & Broadcasting Co.,Ltd, a Chinese military-owned company which produces communication devices and navigation systems for the Chinese army.

Now wonder how secure your phone will be and who will have access to the info on it.

So now they can invest in BB10 and come out with new phones, right? </sarcasm>

Chen has been very successful at what he was hired to do. Save the sinking ship. A few people may not be happy with the course selected, but it worked.

Agreed, the only thing that might have saved the BB phones could have been a stronger marketing plan. The other manufactures are constantly showing how wonderful their phones are and in reality all it takes is a smart plan to convince the majority of people they are. Example is the move to larger and larger phones.

It wasn't just marketing. BBRY (FKA RIM) had one chance to break into the Android/APple duopoly and they blew it with an underperforming Zed 10 (remember that) with buggy software and missing apps. They had one chance. The rest is history.

they also forgot to add in the old BBOS features that everyone was used to

they added in most after first update but it was too late for some and the rest of features were never put in

I miss the charge cradle notifications to silence everything but what you wanted, was a great feature on BBOS that I used for years
