about to register, thought you got a BB email address?
 

I've bought a playbook and a BB 9300 for my daughter. I want to register it and started process on playbook. It asked for an email but I thought you got a BB email address?

Do you just need a current email address to register and are then given a BB email address?
Also can I then use both devices with the one account ?

It states you have to be over 18 go register, I am but these are for my daughter who's 12,what's the situation in this case then?

The Playbook doesn't have it's own email client, and doesn't get it's own email address.
On the Playbook, you use the bridge to connect to your BlackBerry device and it just mirrors your existing email from the BlackBerry.

In your case, you would bridge the Playbook to your daughter's BlackBerry to get her email on the Playbook.

There are many reasons why some people suggested you not get a Playbook. No native e-mail client is #1. Yes, coming soon. So's Christmas.

Also, do not use the "blackberry email address" for your BlackBerry ID. If you ever forget your login information, the "recover password" information is sent to the email address you register with. And the "blackberry email address" is only sent to the BlackBerry device and cannot be read on a computer.
