Help with.... Browser configuration service book entries..
 
Hello.

Just got this storm 9530...browser button missing....called bell..he switched my plan to a bberry plan... still no browser..i did host routing tables...nothing but "sent" appears...i have no service book entries whatsoever....also..i cannot add anyone's pin to my device nor can they add me when i give them my pin...n e help would really b appreciated :)

Now that they've added a BlackBerry data plan to your account you should do a battery pull while the device is on.

You have to get your new BlackBerry data plan associated with your handheld. Log into Bell's BIS page and enter your BlackBerry's PIN and IMEI there. You should also be able to resend your service books if it doesn't happen automatically.

Ok..im going to try..just one question....where do i get a user id and passwordfor the BIS?

On the bell site its looking for a user name and pass..i dont have one..so down further at the "new user" area..it displays how to setup BIS with automatic login however...the initital steps im required to do arent possible..i dont have the email settings icon...i have in Email setup>-- "i want to use a work email account with a blackberry enterprise server"...thats alli have no other options... n e ideas?

If you don't have the Personal Email setup option it means you don't have a BlackBerry data plan active on your account. You should ring up Bell and have them check that it's on your account and that you're properly provisioned.

I contacted bell and she said they didnt properly change the plan when i had called the first time....uurgghhh!!! she changed it howeverr i still dont have the browser button..cant use my pin or receive invites...and the email is not there :S

It can take 24 hours for data to come through. Usually its much faster but I have seen a full day go by before data flowed. Now that they've sorted your account properly, try another battery pull while your BlackBerry is turned on. Sometimes that refreshes the connection to your carrier.
