WiFi does NOT work on my 9300 3G
 

It works perfect with the 5.0 OS version, but when I upgrade it to 6.0 it doesn't work anymore (everything else works perfectly as far as I know). It's weird cause it's supposed to support the 6.0 update.

I know it's not my router (doesn't connect to any router not just mine), like I said, my phone can connect to it as long as I'm using the 5.0 version.

What do? I've tried everything, even took it to a shop and they couldn't do anything about it, said that maybe the phone can't hold the 6.0 OS.

So now I have a dilema, either I use the "old" 5.0 and keep the ability to connect to WiFi, or stick with the new cooler looking 6.0 version without using my WiFi.

Does anyone have any answers?

I have no idea what my carrier is. But how does that matter if it already worked with the 5.0 version?

Edit: Let me put it this way. I'm from Venezuela and I bought this phone from the US. I'm using it with a service company from over here.

I've had two blackberry's and I've used both of them (WiFi) just fine, except for this 9300 with the 6.0 OS.

Is there no way I can use WiFi with 6.0? or do I have to go back to 5.0?

You might try another version of OS 6. And make sure you're using the OS for the 9300 and not the 9330.

I hooked it up on the Desktop Software so I'm sure I'm using the OS for the 9300. Also I've tried a couple versions. I guess I'm gonna try a couple others and if it doesn't work then I don't know what else it could be. Anyone got any ideas?

Will it help if I don't make a security copy of my data? Cause every time I update it I click on the little square that allows you to save all the info you had before so you don't lose it.

Please update your profile to indicate your current cell carrier.

And after up upgraded, did you resend your service books? If your current carrier doesn't support BBs or that particular model that could be the problem.

By my Carrier you mean the company that provides the service? Then yeah it does support BB's. The only thing I can think of is that every time I updated my BB I chose to save my data. Maybe if I don't save it (complete erase of all data) it'll work? or does that not matter?

Edit: I have updated, downgraded and restarted so much I'm afraid I'm gonna screw up my cell.

Turns out it doesn't work with 5.0 anymore. I guess I should take it back.

After you've changed the OS several times, will they let you take it back?

If there is something wrong with the phone the store has to change it for me, it's the warranty. Thing is they don't wanna change it just like that, they want me to wait for a month at least so they can send it to this city for it to get checked, and no way I'm not waiting.
