Address Groups Are Merged After Sync
1 Attachment(s)
FYI everyone ....
I found a merged contact group in my Mac address book following sync with PocketMac. The new 'merged' group contained contacts that were common to 3 three independent groups. The contacts in the new merged group were stripped from the independent groups. I did this test .... I created 3 new contact groups in my Mac address book: Basic, Bat & Bazooka. I added 5 new contacts to each group as follows: Basic ... DELTA, ECHO, Alpha, Bravo, Charlie Bat ... DELTA, ECHO, Foxtrot, Golf, Hotel Bazooka ... DELTA, ECHO, India, Juliet, Kilo Notice that contacts Delta & Echo are common to all three groups. After sync'ing I found that I had 4 new contact groups: Basic Basic,Bat,Bazooka Bat Bazooka See attached file for post-sync screen shot. Group 'Basic, Bat, Bazooka' contained the contacts that are common to all 3 groups, which are Delta & Echo. Meanwhile, Delta and Echo were removed from the three other groups. Anyone know how I prevent this from happening in the future? |
I've emailed PocketMac about this and they say they are working on an update. The only way bugs will be fixed is if you can give PocketMac reproducible steps.
We shall see if an update for this and other bugs is coming. I recommend emailing on their support site: PocketMac Support Site |
I sent this gripe to Pocketmac, too.
