One account for numerous phones?
 

Hi unsure how BB works really...

So my daughter has a BB 9300 and a playbook. I've registered her with app world and bought a few apps.

So my wife has just got a BB 9300, can she use the same account so we don't have to buy the same apps, or is this not allowed?

Basically should I make a new app world account for my wife, and then will I have to buy the apps again?

She should not be using the same account as your daughter. She should have an account set up for her to use, separate from your daughter's account.

So I'll have to buy all the apps again for my wife? Just on iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, all the apps are the same, ie paid once

On my PlayBook and my BB device I have the same BlackBerry ID.

My gf's device and her PlayBook have another ID. You can add up to 5 different devices to the same BlackBerry ID.

If you are talking about a PlayBook and a BlackBerry device, then yes, you can use the same ID. The reason you can use the same apps on all your iOS devices is probably because you used the same itunes account for all those devices.

So you have 2 seperate BB IDs one for you, our for your gf?
So for example you both want angry birds, you have to buy it twice for the 2 individual BB IDs?

As you say if you have a playbook and a BB phone, then you use the same BB ID as they are both for the same person.

You can't use the same BB ID on 2 different BlackBerry phones. When you try to log into App World on another BlackBerry, you will be asked if you want to to change the PIN associated with that ID.

You can have the same ID on both a BlackBerry and a PlayBook, though.

Apps for the PlayBook and apps for the handheld are not the same - they are coded differently using different operating systems. Apps coded for PlayBook will not run on the 9300 and vice versa.
