Bold Touch tomorrow (July 26th)?
 

A new BlackBerry to be unveiled tomorrow, or so Facebook would have us believe -- Engadget

Engadget says Facebook is hinting at it. Sure would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath. Of course every time somebody flashes a picture of the Bold Touch I get goosebumps. I've been losing sleep over the possibility of getting this one!

I'll play it cool tomorrow, ignoring this (remote) possibility, but I'll be glancing at the blogs throughout the morning. At some point I will find myself, completely by chance, passing by a Sprint store. Maybe I need another charger, or an extended battery. I can always use a new desktop cradle (I have two already), so I'll stop in. Heck, I'm already there, right?

If the Bold Touch is there I'm going to pull my credit card out of my wallet so fast it will look like Wyatt Earp in a gunfight in Dodge City!

Very well could be. Verizon's website lists it as the BB Bold 9650 and shows the picture as one, but if you click the link that says, "Explore Features" under Demos and Video, once you play the video, you will see the BB 9930 being showcased.

I tried including a link, but apparently I haven't posted here enough in order to do so. First time I've ever had that inconvenience...

The "official" BB 9930 announcement from Verizon should hit today. Not sure what the release date might be, however.

Sprint is clueless on this. No visit from the BlackBerry rep or any promo material, so we're back to the waiting game. S'cuse me while I go pop another Xanax now.

Blackberry Touch 9850 and more devices coming to Sprint

A leaked roadmap from inside Sprint tells us that theyxxx8217;re planning multiple devices to launch on August 21 like the Blackberry Torch 9850 that will feature an inspired Storm 2-style body design. What is more interesting about this would be the ability to offer users a chance to explore RIMxxx8217;s Blackberry OS 7 (also known as the OS 6.1) which includes a new keyboard layout. For August 21st , Sprint will also release the Blackberry Bold 9930 and the Samsung Conquer 4G.

The Motorola Photon (MB855) will be dropping July 31, while the new BlackBerry Curve 9360 along with a few new Kyocera phones will be launching September 9. Also, a mysterious Motorola XT603 for the Fall and a ZTE tablet for Q1 2012 are the highlights of a new Sprint roadmap that leaked.

Anything out their as to when it might be coming to AT&T? Hope its soon. I'm ready to retire my 9000.

They're not saying anything, but I don't think it will be long after we start seeing these appear for another carrier.

Looks like the 9930 will be a world phone (CDMA + GSM) & the 9850 will be CDMA only...was hoping for the 9850 to be a world phone as well.

if they release a Bold Touch I hope they really blow us away with a touch screen that is just perfect. not like the iphone screen where its all glass.

I used to read this form.
I checked it twice a day.
But RIM can't ship its phones on time,
so I have been away.
Today I'm here and hoping
that RIM's no longer lame.
I guess I'll be back next year,
'cause RIM is still the same.

I have a question on the new Torch 9810 (I think) from ATT. I thought I read that the intro date was pushed back to Sept 1st (from sometime in August , originally)
Has anyone else heard this.Can't wait to get back to BB! ANd the new Torch is 1.2CPU .with a screen resolution of 640 x 420 for very sharp images. Better Browser as well.
Anythinng to add would be appreciated.

Seems like the latest rumblings & rumors is September for the 9810 for AT&T.

I think the disappointment amongst some is that RIM announces new phones almost 8 months before they release them

We get a sneek peak at the 'future' only to have the longest waiting period ever.

Apple does it well, they screw customers but the customers don't care! New iPhone is announced the day it is available. People who weeks before spent their money on the 'old' device cry, and sometimes Apple gives a credit of $100.

RIM however comes out and says "NEW DEVICE" which makes people stop and think "should I really buy a BlackBerry now with new ones coming soon?" which turns into "I got sick of waiting so I bought an iPhone/Android"


What 'we' want is RIM to come out and say "here's a new device, and in 2 months we're selling it"

It would make sales slump leading up to the device release, but if they'd stop taking big leaps, aka 'playing catchup' (significant increase in RAM, storage and CPU power compared to devices less than a year old) there would be a reason to still buy the 'old' devices.

So I saw the video is it suppose to be just a slight larger than the 9000? The size of the screen doesn't appear that much can be done guess just have to wait and see, I'm ready.

Supposed to be about the same as the 9000, but bigger than the 9700.

9900 screen is bigger than that of a 9000, I compared it at the BBWC11

Great! Sounds like the perfect form factor for a touch screen & physical keyboard.
