Blackberry Appworld for a Blackberry Admin
Hello, I am the Blackberry admin for our company. We are running v5.0.2.28 and have a strict policy of locking our Blackberry users down so that they are unable to download third-party apps including the blocking of Blackberry Appworld.
Recently one of our users got approval to purchase an app that is only available through appworld. Is there a way to create an "administrative" account that would allow us to purchase/download apps that we can then distribute through the BAS? We've created an appworld account, but the account seems to tie itself to one device at a time. If we want to download a new app for a different device, appworld prompts me to associate the account with that device. Prior to appworld, we could just go to the vendor's site, purchase/download the app and then keep it on a network share that could then be deployed wirelessly to the device without any association. Has anyone else ran into this? Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

I bet he's not an executive.
once the App is downloaded simply lock the downloads again. RIM also has IT people who like control. |

I was hoping there was another way, but apparently there is not. Thanks for the reply!
