Track Ball Not Working to access apps
 

My 8830 track ball will scroll up, down, and sideways. I took it to the Verizon store, they replaced the track ball, and the problem is the same. They said I needed a new phone, but for the price I paid 3 years ago, I'd like to fix it. I saw on the site the sensor may be bad; can that be replaced?

Are you sure they replaced the track ball with a new one?
Also various sponsors on this site will repair BB's. This may cost you a lot less.

You may get some further cleaning help.
