We don't hate you anymore, Dan. It's ok.
Glad you dug it.

With the device switcher in DM 4.2, I have no regrets buying a Pearl. Even if the 8800 comes out after the first of the year, I'll still buy one, and plan to use my Pearl part of the time. Especially since the early-spec 8800s won't have a camera. While not that important to me, it's nice to have for those weekend bar-hangs.

I am with you have have no regrets and will buy the 8800 as soon as I can get my hands on it. In fact I will buy two, one for me and one for my VP. The Pearls we use today will go to our field people!

Bring the 8800 on!

DanUC6 12-04-2006 07:48 PM

I was getting worried there for a bit...man we need to get some solid dates starting to flow!!! i will jump the gun and say January 24th. I have no idea why but it sounds good!!!

quillhill 12-05-2006 03:48 AM

Jan. 24 ... hmm. Hubby's 30th birthday. I don't think I can buy it that day. He'd probably expect a gift, maybe dinner, somethin' and that wouldn't happen if the BB 8800 comes out that day. I think he might be miffed. Maybe.

Good timing, though, to align the upgrade stars.

Pizzle 12-05-2006 11:13 AM

Unless you bought him one, too. ;-)

Great news...can't wait

DanUC6 12-05-2006 07:40 PM

If this thing comes on T-mobile first I will vomit. I am in CT. I know not one person with T-mobile. Come on Cingular open the wallet. T-mobile can keep their pearl:smile:

What makes RIMxxx8217;s post-8800 release their xxx8220;perfectxxx8221; device?

RIMxxx8217;s xxx8220;perfectxxx8221; device will have it all and is thinner than the 8800 due out soon.

As much as I want to jump on the 8800 Bandwagon, this "perfect" device sounds too good to be true. Just shelling out the $400 last christmas for this one, I think I may hang out 1 more year to see the perfect device and save up for that bad boy!

I would be waiting for the 8800 with the camera feature. I have a 8700g with TMO and it works very well. Of course, if I can get the one with the camera, it would be excellent.
Also, I hate to be a noob in 8800. Does / would it come with WIFI feature? I really WANT (not that I *need* hee hee) the wifi feature so I can surf the web at home using my wireless access. Excellent combination!
