FYI : RIM AIM working!!!

Well, I played around with some files I found on here and finally, I have the RIM AIM client installed on my 8100 with TMO working! Finally. Eventhough everyone praises the third party apps I was never very found of them. Just wanted AIM and not the others and something simple - this is perfect and I look forward to them updating it a little.

Thanks for sharing - although some of us were having serious problems getting the files to work and connect...

My apologies if this has already been posted, but there have been so many threads and posts, I can't keep track. Has anyone been able to get this to work on AT&T?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry Pearl: BlackBerry8100/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Does anyone have an ota for that rim aim? Can't even get it to download on my pearl.

I went to www.blackberry.com/aim to try and download on my TMo Pearl. All I get is a message stating "Sorry, your wireless Service Provider does not allow access to AOL Instant Messenger for Blackberry for your device"

How did you get this on your Tmo Pearl.

The app is out there. But it will not work on your Pearl. No service books for it.

Actually they are, you can use the service books from the 8320 on a T-Mobile Pearl and get them to work. Although, I don't think they're working for other carriers yet

Jivetalk is free for me anyway. And it works very poorly for me. I ditched it. Use the IM program that comes with the Pearl. It works great.

rofl - the whole point of me posting this was to say IT DOES WORK on Tmobile 8100 Pearl. I am using it right now. All the files, service books, etc are available on this forum.
