No Service

What can I use my 8130 Pearl for without a service plan?

That's not entirely correct. You still have the camera, alarm clock, voice recorder notes, media player, calculator, video camera, so it's not totally dead. ;-)

What I wanted to know was , is there anything such as other programs I can download on my PC and transfer to the BB's SD card ?

Oh, okay. You didn't say that.

What you will need to do is to search for applications that have a Desktop Installation option. Not all of them do. Most applications only have an Over The Air (OTA) installation option.

You will also need to search to be sure that they don't require data service.
