PdaNet for BB8130

So I have a Blackberry 8130 and to my knowledge the maximum OS you can have on it is 4.5?
Well i am trying to use PDANet (I can't post a link but is a program by junefabrics that allows you to use the unlimited data port on your phone so you wont have to pay extra for normal tethering) so i can access the internet but it will not work because i can not upgrade to 4.6. Is there anyway i can resolve this?

Sorry, but we do not give advice that will allow you do something illegal and not ethical, such as tethering for free. Carriers have the right, whether you agree or not, to charge for their services, including data and tethering.

The latest OS for the 8130 is 4.5. I doubt if one will see a newer version available since the device is considered "old" as cell devices go.

I didn't realize that doing this was illegal?

You are trying to tether and not pay the tether charge. In my book, that is stealing and the last time I checked, stealing is illegal.

Oh man you are such a tool. Unreal

dakota, you endorse stealing, or even simply not paying for what you're getting?

Re: PdaNet for BB8130

What about those who have unlimited data plans but find there are limitations when they try and tether. So carriers ask for more money, why do I feel like I'm being robbed?

Re: PdaNet for BB8130

You make your choices and in one way or another you agree to the terms when you buy the service, whether you understand what you agreed to at the time or not -- The proverbial "you" of course. -- And the carriers decide how to package and deliver their service in a more or less free market. As Dubdub says, you may not like it, but that doesn't justify taking without paying just because you think it should be free, or because you think the carrier charges too much, or just because you can get away with it. Understanding that and living by it doesn't make you a tool.
