Contact the seller; ask them to release the PIN (they had already registered the BlackBerry).

ul71m0 01-10-2009 04:49 PM

But if that is not posibile what then?

drthvdr 01-10-2009 06:01 PM

This happened to me too...

Call At&t and have them transfer you to BB tech support... they'll "release" the pin so that you can register it under your account...

:bb: FTW!!

ul71m0 01-10-2009 06:05 PM

It is from swisscom,is that at&t?

drthvdr 01-10-2009 06:08 PM

... srry thats what I meant... your gonna have to call the provider that carries that phone...

They'll be able to do the same... (y)

The best way to resolve this is to contact the seller. The carrier may or may not do it for you.

ul71m0 01-10-2009 07:42 PM

The thing is that seller buy`s that phones in swiss and need to contact hes supplier!
And i send mail to swisscom and w8ing reply!

I have had this issue before and just contacted the Cell carrier and had them clear the PIN, really not that difficult though at times you may reach a tech that doesn't know what you are doing so make sure to talk to one that specifically works with Blackberries

I found something that may help!

I need to call my provider and they need to contact RIM and they can release PIN!

LOL When i talked with operater on my network after 15min of mine-explanation-what-and-how-BIS-work-and-process-of-registration her put me on hold and said me fisrt to take my phone to service and unlock it,i started to laugh and said to her that i`am talking to her from that exactly phone and it is unlocked, her than said me i have PIN code and PUK code on my card! loooool

SpectreBlofeld 01-12-2009 11:24 AM

I've had this happen when the PIN wasn't registered already. A customer of mine bought an 8830 World Edition and had it unlocked for use with Usacell in Mexico (they didn't carry Blackberries newer than the 8700 series and he wanted one). When he tried to activate the PIN on his carrier, he got that message. It was a brand new phone and when he brought it back unused it was resold in the US without a problem.
