OS: 9300 6.0.0.2949/6.0.0.668 (Multilanguage)

Software For BlackBerry® Curve 9300 smartphone
This will install to any carrier's 9300 device by following the directions below.

BlackBerry Handheld Software v6.0.0.2921 (Multilanguage)
Can be installed to any carrier's 9300 by following the instructions below.

Package Version: 6.0.0.2949
Consisting of:

Applications: 6.0.0.668
Software Platform: 6.6.0.236
File name: 9300M_PBr6.0.0_rel2949_PL6.6.0.236_A6.0.0.668_Voda fone_DE.exe
File size: 154.501 MB

Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

Download the OS file here: https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/D...B2C365E7E215FF

Instructions to install, regardless of carrier:
1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." Vista/Win7 users: In the apploader folder, simply click on "Compatibility files" to see the actual Vendor.xml file. Once you've got that - simply delete the vendor.xml file there (even if you've deleted or think you've deleted it in the folder previously).
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a screen with an hourglass or status bar for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again and it should load the OS to the device.

@Lifestyles, thanks for posting the update. IF you could, it would be greatly helpful if you'd make these posts following our template. You can see what all I've added above.

Thanks!

1. It has the same bug as the previous OS on the alarm.
The alarm doesn't sound when the phone is switched off. The alarm only switches the phone on.
2. From within Facebook, if you view and edit a linked facebook contact, on saving edits, OS complaints of a duplication. Really there is no duplication, its just a bug.

Re: Latest OS: 9300 6.0.0.2949/6.0.0.668 (Multilanguage)

Hi,

I tried to install this OS to no avail.

I currently have v.5.0.0.977 (bundle 1602, platform 6.3.0.63). I confirmed this in the About screen of my Curve 9300. Next, I downloaded and installed the OS in this thread to my local computer. I confirmed successful installation by checking the Shared / Loader Files of the Research in Motion folder in my Common Files. Next, I delete the Vendor.xml file from the Apploader folder. I then click on Loader.exe to start the installation to my BB. Here is where things look strange:

I click start, after a few steps, the installer shows the list of programs installed on my BB. I note that there is no entry for "languages". Since none of these programs need to be changed, I did nothing and just click next, then the next screen comes up which says something like no need for action, and then there's the Finish button. When I click that button, nothing seems to happen. I check my BB and indeed the OS hasn't changed. The entire process takes about 2 minutes.

Can somebody help me with this please?
(I opened a new thread at blackberryforums.com/general-9300-series-discussion-curve-3g/255543-install-langs-no-lang-options-desktop-software.html but so far nobody has helped me yet)

Try unistalling all previuos installations of any previous OS upgrades on your computer and run the downloaded OS to as you detailed above.

Good luck!
