Tour sync deleted all calendar items on Outlook

I've been able to sync my calendar with Outlook on my laptop with no problems for months, then suddenly, my last sync prompt said it was going to delete everything on the Outlook calendar. First, I was worried, so I rejected the sync, but the next time I tried to sync, it happened again. This time, I archived my calendar and synced. So my Outlook calendar was completely deleted by BB desktop manager except for the holidays. I changed the configuration to sync from BB to Outlook only and also checked the default service settings, etc... everything that was posted here before, but still nothing. Now, when I try to sync, it skips Calendar altogether, even if I add new items to the BB. Fortunately, all the appointments on the BB are still there.

Doesn't make sense. Outlook is now blank, and BB has a full calendar, but apparently, BB desk manager thinks they are synced already.

Contacts, memos, etc are unaffected. I only use the USB cable to sync.

Anyone have any idea how I can get the two to sync correctly?
Thanks!

I would guess an option on one of them is wrong. Try setting both back to default.
Make sure to backup before trying.

Wirelessly posted

dr, did you get it figured out? What about tsac's suggestion?

I'm guessing your default calendar (CICAL) in default services in options got changed. Outlook only sync's with the default calendar, and I'm wondering if that default calendar is empty, and that's how Outlook calendar got wiped out. And I think when you look at calendar on the blackberry you have show all calendars selected, or the old default calendar selected.

Make sure to do an export to outlook just in case you lose it on both ends
