Podcast Problem

Hi There,

Hoping someone can help me with this. I've subscribed to a few podcasts as of late, but when I try to play the two newest ones, the blackberry will automatically shut down and reboot.

I'm not exactly sure what is causing this. It's played other podcasts fine but these two newest ones automatically reboot my phone. Is there a size limit? From what I can tell they're pretty long (3 hrs.)

Thanks for any help!

Re: Podcast Problem

So, it is just those podcast feeds? Is it all downloaded podcasts in those feeds? (If you've only downloaded the very newest podcast, try some of the older podcasts.)

First guess is there is major file corruption, but I don't know why you don't just get an error. However, the file size itself is not an issue.

What I would do is delete those particular podcast files. Do it within the podcast app, and delete the individual podcasts. Then either refresh the podcast feed or mark those podcasts for download.

Alternatively, you could use the files app and navigate to that folder, delete the podcast file and any other files you find in the podcasts feed folders, and then either refresh or mark the podcasts for download.

EDIT: If you go the later route and use the files app, look at the audio file type. What is it?

Thanks for the help.

I've tried both ways and it neither seem to work.

So far it's just the two most recent files. All the other previous podcasts in the feed work fine, aside from these two most recent ones.

They are MPEG-4 Audio files.

Re: Podcast Problem

I'm guessing the problem is with the file being delivered, and not the delivery. I haven't had that happen yet, not enough to remember anyway. Only thing I can advise is go to the website and download from there, see what happens. (And send a note to the podcaster.)
