8520 update to OS 5.0
 

Hi, I just bought an 8520 Curve from the T Mobile carrier. I had successfully updated my other 8520 to OS 5.0 which is Ver. 5. So it's a newer model of the 8520. So I got another 8520 Curve Ver. 2 with a copyright from 1997-2009, instead of the 1997-2010, like the other one. So the question is I have a mac, and I have the BBM, and it updated the former with ease, while the latter doesn't even seem to detect an update that is needed. I was wondering if you guys can help me with this process? I have done a handheld wipe on the device to factory settings, and so far, the update is not being suggested when I go to plug my device. Any help would be highly appreciated thanks, I've read the forums a bit on the update and most of them suggest a PC route to fix the problem, I do not have that option. Thanks in advance.

hi im sorry, i cant help you with that, however i was wondering, you said you were able to update your original 8520 to v5.0? would you be able to give me a hand?
i have 4.6 and would like to update to 5.0 but i have no idea how to begin?

if you dont want to or dont have the time thats absolutely fine :)
