Availability of Facebook 1.8

My issue will be how it handles my battery drain.

Good point, although I would imagine it to be possible to alter the settings; e.g enable/disable and what to have pushed.

the beta stopped working on my bold last weekend. now im back to 1.7 and it well umm SUCKS. Too bad cause i was really happy with 1.8. Lets hope it'll work once released..not like the beta ;)

I believe this was releases, considering it came preloaded on the 9800 devices. Mine seems to be running 1.8.0.39 version of Facebook.

Hmm.. Thank you for sharing. I wonder why Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones is still only offering me 1.7.0.22

As someone else mentioned on a different thread, 1.8 is currently now availble on Blackberry Apps World.

I don't notice any obvious changes (like additional functionality... i.e. chatting) from what I was previously (1.7) using on my Bold 9700.

I agree with akosnitzky, I’ll need to be close to a power station at all times. This means procrastination big time! Good thing I don’t need to be doing much on a daily basis :D I’m really looking forward to all the new push stuff.
