Unlocked Bold - Worth it?
 

Hi,
this would be my first BB, so I'm wondering if it's worth buying an unlocked Bold in that I'm assuming I have no support if anything goes wrong with it.

I'm looking at buying a Rogers Bold in Canada and taking it with me to use on the Vodafone GSM in Australia.

Is there anything I should look out for when buying an unlocked Bold from someone?

Will I be able to use the Bold with wifi if I don't buy a data plan?

Will there be any problem syncing the Bold to a Macbook?

These are likely questions that've already been answered somewhere, but I thought I'd check. Thanks.

1. Yes, a Rogers Bold on Vodafone Australia will be fine.

2. These tips pertain to buying any BB used, not just eBay:

3. Your browser will work fine when set to the HotSpot browser if you have no data plan and are using WiFi only. You will need a BB Data Plan for full use of email, etc.
