How to have emails removed from server after opened

When I open an email on my computer I would like it to delete off my phone once the phone goes through its automatic download.

Does that make sense?
For example- on my Blackjack- an email would remain on my phone until I deleted it off the phone or until I deleted it off another computer. then when my phone would search for new downloads, it would remove that email off the phone also.

Thanks!

It does make sense. The word you're looking for in the Blackberry world is reconciliation.

What type of mail server do you have? Are you on BIS?

Heck if I know. My email is through our website- web servor.
The AT&T guy set up my email on my phone. When I check the options on this email account under Email Reconciliation my settings are: Delete on:Prompt, Wireless Reconcile: On, On conflicts: Mailbox wins.

Instead of posting another thread, this is sort of related, I cannot on OS 4.5 delete email from the computer, JUST THE HANDHELD BB. Is this right

someone on Crackberry said to highlight it and you can just as in OS 4.2. I don't see it as being possible

Can someone tell me if it can be done?

Go to options -> Email Reconciliation -> Delete on: Prompt
this will give yo the option to choose where it is deleted. If the option isn't there, for you, try resending the service books.

Thanks b1gg13, I tried that both before and after a battery pull and the option is still not there since I installed OS 4.5

Ah thanks again, you have solved it in the first post. I just didn't realize it. I didn't know we actually had the same question, ...until RIM sent me an email. Thanks much

The only single problem left with OS 4.5 is a minor one, that one I posted where if I put 'test' in google mobile I get a blank page. It could be that space issue and I get a memory card in a day or two in the mail

Thanks again to all who helped. and to Eric H, same name btw who posted this
