BOLD 9650 Browsing
 

I have the 9650 bold and when I view webpages, the font is so small its hard to read. I have changed the font settings and its still not like it was with my 8330 curve. One site for example is mobile.pgatour.com. On my curve it was easy to read this site. On the bold I need a magnifying glass.

Also Ive noticed when I change my font, what used to be a 8 font on the 8330 curve, I have to make like a 12 font for the same size. I don't know if this has to do something with the resolution of the 2 devices, I always thought an 8 font is the same size on any device. Right now I have the default font size and minimum font size set to 12.

Any suggestions?

Try Browser > Menu > Options > General Properties > Default View > Column

Yes. Leave in page view and see if zoom in works for you. I notice that from the browser, options-general settings did not help

That helps to a point but when I zoom, other fields move off the screen. There has to be a way to get it to look like the 8330, where I can see the whole screen in large enough font.

Is your Browser Identification set to "BlackBerry"?

Mine is set to Blackberry Browser and i see what the OP sees

Hit the Browser Icon,Options,
Browser Configuration:
Browser ID-BlackBerry

General:
Try the Global Serif
Default size-10
Minimum size-10
Minimum Style-Plain or BOLD
Column View

I tried your setting and just going to mobile.pgatour.com for example the formatting is all off. I know on my curve I had it set at column view but column view on the bold the formatting is all off.

My browser identification is blackberrry.

sorry if this is out of context. I have the 9650 and mh home sceen layout is set on today. This shows messages phone and calander. the font is so small I have trouble reading it. Can the font be made larger.

Font size too small:
This is a known issue to RIM. They are working on it. The OS 6 has great improvements over the OS 5. Until then try another site or the zoom in the menu.

I have size issues with OS 6 as well .... cant seem to get a decent column view. That options cant be found

i could not take 6.0 anymore. i had to reload 5.0.0.732.. i am happy now

I just got a 9750 Bold with OS 6 & I'm seeing the same tiny virtually unreadable fonts with no way to select column view and the zoom is very awkward. Terrible implementation.

I also don't like the icons that appear instead of just contact names when I type from the Home screen. The names are in such small fonts that they, too, are difficult to read.

I'm going back to my Curve.
