Re: 8520 startup stuck.
Has it been dropped or gotten wet?
Any error code on the screen when it stalls? |
Re: 8520 startup stuck.
I don't know if it had fallen or got wet.I will find that out during the day.Got the phone from someone. And no, no error when it stalls, just stay like that until I pop the battery.it also does not get recognized by desktop manager. Or JL cmbr.

Re: 8520 startup stuck.
How long did you leave it to see if it will finish booting. Sometimes, for whatever reason, I've personally seen a BlackBerry take 20 minutes to boot. There's a post somewhere on this board, or maybe the BlackBerry support forums where a BlackBerry was left for hours and it finally finished booting. But I would definitely given it 30 minutes.
If it won't boot, see the article over at Crackberry on recovering a nuked or bricked BlackBerry. |
Yes I have left it to see if it boots up but it just stuck.I'm sure the I'm gonna have to load a new OS,question is,what platform? Cause I don't know what OS platform the phone used.
And thanks for the help sofar Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile |
Re: 8520 startup stuck.
Use a pc that is NOT running Vista. XP is fine and so is Win7.
