BES Express 5.0.3 on same box as SBS 2011
 

I have found conflicting answers to the question; "can you run BES Express 5.0.3 on the same box as SBS2011?" What is the bottom line, yes or no? Thanks in advance for your help. Michael

There is no general problem running SBS2K11 and BESx on the same box. Possible problem, which also arise with SBS2K11 without a BES server are that the exchange store service might be unable to start automatically and has to be started manually. Since the BES Server depends on the exchange services, the same might occur with the BES services.

Microsoft itself does not recommend to run Exchange on a DC, but according to a microsoft KB article accepts the needs of the customers to do it anyway as a reality.
