Latest OS 9930 v7.1.0.2123 / 7.1.0.755 (Multilanguage)

BlackBerry Handheld Software v7.1.0.2123 (All Languages*)
Will install to any carrier's 9930 by following these instructions.

Package Version: 7.1.0.2123
Consisting of:
Applications: 7.1.0.755
Software Platform: 5.1.0.553
File name: 9930cmpttjAllLang_PBr7.1.0_rel2123_PL5.1.0.553_A7. 1.0.755.exe
File size: 282MB
Language: AllLanguage

Download the OS file here: http://theiexplorers.com/bb/OSs/9930...A7.1.0.755.exe

Instructions for installing on the 9930:
1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded.
2. Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." Vista/Win7 users: In the apploader folder, simply click on "Compatibility files" to see the actual Vendor.xml file. Once you've got that - simply delete the vendor.xml file there (even if you've deleted or think you've deleted it in the folder previously) and voila, it will allow you to update to the newly installed OS!
3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

The process may take up to 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a black "BlackBerry" screen with a status bar for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again, and it should load the OS to the device.

Hi - downloaded the and installed it OTA. Now having major problems - BBM missing (even though the system says it's installed) and all my apps crash/don't work.

Help!

Anyone else having problems? How do I fix or roll back to previous version which worked just fine?

Thanks in advance!

Second link in the OP has the previous OS file (Desktop Manager install method), and instructions are also contained in the post.

Don't downoad OTA.

Hopefully this will fix my issue with the wi-fi hotspot turning itself off after 15 minutes no matter if there is activity or not!

Upgraded this time using BB Desktop software. Everything seemed to go well. It took three hours on our sloooow wifi. Next time I will wait and download the link and install separately. I also have installed the new, 700.100 BBM from BB Beta Zone. You may like to join and try it out. You can now make calls to other BBMs within BBM. :)
