Sending contacts from LG Cookie to BB Curve 8520
 

I got my Curve today and I want to transfer my contacts from my old phone which is an LG Cookie.

I've paired the phones, but when I select my BB from the list to send the contacts, the LED flashes blue once and the Cookie says "Disconnected" and asks me if I want to retry. I've made my BB discoverable. Help?

I can't help much with bluetooth. Never tried what you are trying, and even file transfers have sometimes been hit and miss for me.

Can you get your contacts on the Cookie exported into Outlook or Yahoo? If so, you could then use Desktop Manager to sync with the BlackBerry.

Another possible option is if the switch device wizard in Desktop Manager will work with the Cookie. Take a look. I don't know.

I later learned that the BB doesn't support the transfer of contacts via bluetooth Vcards :(
I ended up just taking the sim out of the cookie and shoving it in the blackberry and copying the contacts over. Thank you though :)
