VZW Bold on Alltel?
 

After having issues with my Droid, I purchased a pre-owned Bold (VZW branded) from a friend after being assured by Alltel's tech support that it'd work on their system.
After numerous phone calls & countless minutes spent with technical support, the phone still won't connect to the internet unless i'm on wifi.
Was I misinformed by Alltel? Has anyone here gotten a non-Alltel-branded BB to work on their system?

No CDMA carrier will activate another carrier's device on their own network. Even though Verizon bought Alltel, they still maintain separate data bases of device IMEI's and they refuse to cross-honor each other's phones.

You're out of luck.
