I'm glad you posted that. I thought the bad battery was just me!

Same here...

Had to buy a spare battery. Could not afford to be dead half way through the day when away from my charger....

Kind of same feeling. Battery consumption seems to be a little better.

Re: BlackBerry Torch 9800 OS 6.0.0.576 Leaked

*Installed, been using for a few days, the GPS really slow to lock in...first of this problem for me...on any of the upgrades,I really need this to work...this is my deal breaker..

*viewing the call log...previous OS I could touch the number or name and it would call ..now you touch the number or name nothing...unless you touch and hold, then it will give you a menu with options to call..I thought at first this was a good thing, that was the cure for inadvertent calls just by touching the wrong person in my call log(I have made a few of em). But,I really miss the on the fly touch>call...its a convenience thing for me.

*camera lag is still there...when rendering your picture from the lower left corner preview..been that way with all 5xx although not a big deal..just annoying!

.546 battery and memory drain to me is phenomenal, the best of 5xx...
and much better than this leaked OS..

I've come from .448 which was a really good release. I've been trying .576 for a few days now and I don't see the problems you have tbird. .448's was really good for battery, I'm finding this one even better. With light use, only dropped 10% in over 24 hours. Everything else works as it should for me.

10% in over 24 hours!! My usage is most certainly different than yours,I have never seen my battery percentage like that...

This was with light use tbird. Few texts, BBM, couple of calls, Facebook, Twitter. But even so I can get a feel for how long the battery is going to last. Very impressed so far. ;-)

Re: BlackBerry Torch 9800 OS 6.0.0.576 Leaked

Downloaded and installed .576 yesterday. Went fine on our BES. Reactivated without issue.
However having problems with a few applications, including 680News. It is an app that is supposed to work with the 9800 (now). Did not have significant issues with it on previous os's even when it was not supposed to work with the Torch. Uninstalled 680News (which is a radio news station owned by my carrier, Rogers so you would think it would work on their smart phones). Am now dowloading and reinstalling 680News. Battery life does not seem to be as good as with .546.

Didn't try 546, upgraded both my and my wife's 9800's from 337 to 576 yesterday. So far, so good - and mine in particular shows an increase of about 80MB free memory.

I remember one of those had an AMAZING battery life, sadly it has some bugs, this one is better than the last one, Just wondering why if this is "new" still have old BBM build on it.

Downgraded to .570 from .576. Appears to be more stable for me.
